flickering migraine chains

dim lit quayside emptiness street black and white

dim lit quayside emptiness

where has the world all gone

while I’m here

walking streets empty

a three am train to nowhere

rattle bouncing on rails of my own design

watching lights meaning nothing to me

crawl past to somewhere warm

flickering migraine chains
