great shot!
Thanks!
amazing shot – seems surreal – like out of a science fiction movie
Thanks – the light did have a sort of other-worldly feel about it that day.
Nice shot – it looks cold
Cheers! It certainly was cold, especially about 30 minutes later when the waves started crashing over the sea wall.
Amazing shot. The angle is too good, gives this place an infinite feel. Very nice.
Thanks for your comments, I took quite a few shots on this day as you can imagine, but this one was the clear favourite.
wow! great image and goes well with poem
Thanks, glad you like the poem!
You’re welcome Malcolm. The image goes perfectly with the poem. It is absolutely nicely written.
Wow! I love the photo. Brilliant. Also love the way the tempo of the poem matches the image so well.
Thank you so much for that, I’m glad you can feel the connection between the poem and the image.
Excellent photograph – very cinematic.
Thanks James, I see what you mean, it does look as if it’s been lit for a film shot.
Really nice shot…way cool.
Cheers Jason, thanks for coming by.
The epitome of grey. The panoramic format works well here.

a brilliant shot!!! just love it. love the steel grey sky… feels like just walk into that photo and sit staring at those steel grey waves for eternity. It’s beautiful!!
Thanks! Your welcome to walk in and sit down anytime, just make sure you’re wearing a big coat, it’s mighty chilly in there!
I liked this a lot – I was going to ask which came first (the poem or the photo) but once I read in the comments that you took the photo yourself (so many people do google searches for pictures that match their pieces!) I assume it was the inspiration. Nicely done!
Hi Jessica, yes it was the photo that inspired the poem, I started out with this blog being about the photography, and added the poetry to make it a bit more original. Glad you liked it and thanks for coming by.
I’m late to this, but ditto with all the comments!
